Darryl McCoy, Consultant
Darryl is an operations focused executive with direct experience developing and implementing industry-leading programs in the natural resources, pharmaceutical and health care industries. He had more than 20 years of experience building Best Practices based operating environments globally. With the vision, leadership, and an innovative strategic mind-set Darryl has, he led organizations in several industries in development of solid operating foundations. Throughout his career, Darryl and his teams had implemented cost-reduction initiatives totaling over $500M and improved ROI by reducing capital deployed and increasing efficiencies and output through productivity gains.
Prior to joining The Lucas Group, Darryl, served as Vice President, Supply Chain & CIO at Thompson Creek Metals Company. In this role, Darryl developed and deployed best in class supply chain strategies to enable Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, Procurement, Warehouse, Inventory, and Transportation programs. He was also responsible for IT department. He established and executed strategy for deployment and integration of all company technologies which for Thompson Creek encompasses network, security, infrastructure, applications development and management, data management and reporting and telecommunications.
Darryl also served as Senior Director, Global Supply Chain at Kinross Gold Corporation, where he was responsible for strategic sourcing and supply chain management. He established a global strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management program to aggregate global spend and drive down Total Cost of Ownership across regions. He also developed and deployed best in class supply chain principles to optimize logistics, inventory & warehouse programs while increasing operating service levels.
Darryl has also held senior positions at MDS Pharma Services, Deloitte and the Canadian Armed Forces.
Darryl holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bishop’s University and a Master of business Administration, The University of Western Ontario. He is certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
